"I received your Chant Kit and enjoy it very much. I listen to it while working out on the treadmill (believe it or not) and think you've done a great service in creating a very good learning tool for the advancement of chant for the parish setting; especially in parishes who don't already chant, but would be open to it. Most parishes in our diocese do not chant on a regular basis. I believe your Chant Kit is user-friendly enough so that music directors (inexperienced with chant) could use it as a way to better understand, familiarize and educate themselves. I like the slower pace with which you chant, and also the frequent breaths you take......strictly for learning purposes. I liken it to what we call "chunking" in elementary music teaching, as the bite size snipets make for easier digesting and learning. As for my own parish, where I direct a 35 voice adult choir: We have been singing Gregorian Chant at mass weekly for more than 10 years, and already sing many chants that you have in The Chant Kit. A series of chant workshops I've given to our parishoners in the past has greatly facilitated in this endeavor. I believe your Chant Kit to be an excellent learning resource, and in future parish workshops, I plan to make The Chant Kit known to attendees.
